Our History

Our brokerage was founded in 2018. We began as a small brokerage working out of an office in Downtown Los Angeles, hence the name Downtown Financial Group.

In 2019 our team was able to open up a storefront and we are now based out of Northridge. Our team has over 50 combined years in the mortgage industry. Our Leadership

Victoria Mendez is the founder and leader of Downtown Financial Group. Prior to being a mortgage loan specialist, Victoria worked all across the United States as a Corporate Trainer for the financial giant JpMorgan Chase & Co. better known as Chase Bank. During her time there Victoria attained leadership and people skills that allowed her to understand two components.

  1. How to ensure a team has the same vision and all provide the same excellent service.
  2. How to understand the needs of others and help them as best they can!

Victoria began working with loans in the late 2000s and has various experiences. She worked through the market crash of 2008 and that taught her valuable experience. Her knowledge and partnerships within the Southern California real estate community allows for her and the team to stay updated with constant changes in the market.

Furthermore Victoria and Downtown Financial Group have won awards Nationwide. In 2019 Downtown Financial Group was named as a Top #25 Brokerage in the National By Pacific Home Brokers. Victoria was also recognized by NAHREP as one of the top 250 Mortgage Experts in the Nation!
